European, World & Paralympic Champion Andy Lewis MBE

What a great guy with a wicked sense of humour.

We're talking about European, World & Paralympic Champion Andy Lewis MBE who visited our go karting track in Lanzarote this week, with his 10 year old daughter, Jazmin.

Andy lost the lower part of his right leg after complications following a motorbike accident when he was 16 years old. A talent spotter discovered Andy who had been an excellent runner before his accident. It took just three years of training with the British squad, for him to win a won Gold for ParalympicsGB with a dominant performance in Rio.

It was great to see Andy having fun around our track, he took his daughter out in one of our double karts, as well as some solo laps by himself.

For more information about Andy, please visit his website Andy J Lewis. The British Paralympics team aren't strangers to Lanzarote, the team have visited the island for warm weather training at Sands Beach Resort for two years in succession prior to Rio.

As you can see from Andy's Facebook post to our page, he thoroughly enjoyed his visit!
